For parents who are concerned about their child’s communication development, personalized toddler communication consultations are available in-person (in our preschool classroom) or virtual. This 45-minute visit is an opportunity for you to ask questions about your child’s development and address your concerns.  We can provide a general assessment of your child’s current communication skills, and offer suggestions for ways to add more communication opportunities into your daily routines and activities. We will discuss communication milestones, determine your child’s current communication stage and what to watch for in the coming months.  We offer referrals if your child needs a more specialized assessment. In-person visits are an opportunity for us to demonstrate techniques with you and your child.

A follow-up email will provide a summary of our conversation, specific tools and suggestions for you to help nurture your child’s communication skills using your family’s daily activities and routines, and any suggestions for further monitoring or evaluations. 

This service is appropriate for toddlers aged 12-30 months.
